Two water dragons facing each other, representing the all-encompassing water sign, Pisces…one dragon longs for spiritual enlightenment, the other seeking personal achievement.
For a long time the digital copy of this picture needed a little bit of tender loving care: it's one of the first illustrations I created that used particularly vibrant inks...and at the time they didn't get picked up very well by the scanner we had.
(Just in case you ever fancy trying them out yourself, they were Dr Ph Martin's Bombay India inks.)
Thankfully it's now been re-scanned and ready for prime time - uploaded with a new lease of life into the Dragons Of Astrologica zodiac collection! It's also going to be the first of my pictures to be made available to order.
"Why make Pisces the first available print?..."
As well as being a colourful favourite, Pisces is a very interesting sign: it's the last sign of the Zodiac and - in relation to the stories of Astrology - encompasses elements of all the other signs. So whatever your own sign is, Pisces has some connection to you :)
Besides, who doesn't like the idea of swimming around with two big, friendly underwater sea dragons?
