Hot on the horrific heels of 'Daughter of Medusa' comes the release of another Halloween-inspired piece artwork...
Much like the Gorgon girl, Dracjulia fits my idea of a legendary creature of mythology, somehow passing down their lineage to an offspring.
Also similar to Daughter of Medusa, Dracjulia shares the black back-wash technique as contrast to vibrant red paints, and in this case pinks and whites:
A fair amount of the emphasis is on her ornate wings - representing the mythical bat-like qualities of certain vampire stories:
And I really wanted to make her look both pretty and, well...pretty dangerous!
