Late October (from the 23rd) through much of November (to the 21st) is all about a sting in the tail - for it is Scorpio's time to shine in the zodiac.
The often misunderstood sting-carrying Scorpion is actually a water sign, and I'd like to think my Scorpio Dragon of Astrologica reflects this (sorry for the pun!)...
As you can see I wanted to go for a slightly different style with this one, deciding to give the dragon a segmented type of look that started with fitting him around the idea of his arachnid-based inspiration, especially in the tail and sting...
Being a water sign, there had to be a big splash of blue of course, and again, continuing the segmented feel, but built around watery swirls.
Orange and yellow inks provide the strong fiery-skied sunset as a strong backdrop, and I decided to provide Scorpio's sign as a simple reflection in the water from the sun...
The dragon bridges the colour gap between blues and reds by using various purple inks with white highlights, and some soft pink shading across the underside of the wings...
Amazingly, I haven't been quite so stung for time getting "Dragons of Astrologica - Scorpio" ready for his zodiac-based release...so prints are available a few days early for a change!
You can now find all of Scorpio's product options available in the store...
